MY NATURAL FIBER CLOTHES
Instead of mass-produced collections, I decided to produce each collection in limited editions in order to respect the environment, good labor standards, fair wages and slow fashion. This helps reduce waste, textile waste and promotes the craftsmanship and quality of each garment. Fabric scraps also constitute a part of textile waste, which is why I use them to get closer to the zero waste principle.
SYNTHETIC MATERIALS
Although 13% of my previous creations were made of synthetic materials, these pieces are part of my story and a reminder of my sustainability journey. I made the decision to keep them in my line because of my commitment to avoiding waste and extending the life of each garment. I understand that my sustainability journey is a constant evolution, and each choice I make brings me one step closer.
of the zero waste principle.
Wash with Care for Reduced Impact:
When washing your synthetic clothing, adopting a few simple practices can help minimize the impact on the environment while preserving the quality of your pieces.
1. Temperature and Program:
Opt for low-temperature wash cycles. Synthetic materials are often sensitive to high heat, which can cause them to deteriorate prematurely. Washing in cold or warm water is sufficient to remove dirt while preserving the fibers.
2. Moderate Use of Detergent:
Use the minimum amount of detergent necessary to avoid chemical residues in wastewater. Low-impact detergents are preferable.
3. Microfibers:
To limit the release of microfibers into the water, consider using special laundry bags designed to capture these small particles.
4. Natural Drying:
Air dry instead of tumble drying. Synthetic materials dry quickly and often don't require excessive heat to regain their shape.
